Arkansas Economic Development

Red silhouette map of Arkansas overlain with the text Strengthening Arkansas CommunitiesMany communities and regions in Arkansas are affected by the changing global economy. Our Community & Economic Development unit can assist your community and region to:

  • Identify new economic opportunities
  • Estimate the number of jobs, income and value added that would be generated by the chosen economic strategies
  • Estimate growth of revenue and expenses for local governments that would be caused by economic strategies
  • Assist communities to start new economic strategies

Our programs assist community leaders to identify and implement economic strategies that build strong and vibrant economies.

We help community leaders to describe local assets and identify regional opportunities.  We can also help communities evaluate the economic and fiscal impacts of different strategies and projects.  To learn more about the services that we provide choose from the options below.  Or, for more information on how to access these programs and assistance, contact your county extension agent.
