Have you been seeing dirt hills in your yard, garden or farm? Are plants becoming unexpectedly uprooted? These are signs you have a gopher or mole problem.

TEXARKANA, Ark. –

Have you been seeing dirt hills in your yard, garden or farm? Are plants becoming unexpectedly uprooted? These are signs that you have a gopher and/or mole problem. Gophers and moles are rodents that live in underground tunnels and create frustrating chaos around your property.

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture in Miller County is offering a free Mole and Gopher Workshop, Friday, March 23, 2018. Join us to learn methods for controlling these pests in your property. There will be both classroom and a field demonstration with guest speaker, Franklin County Staff Chair, Jesse Taylor.

The classroom instruction will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 516 Pecan, Texarkana, Arkansas. From there, we will travel to the home of one of our Red Dirt Master Gardeners for the field demonstration, to begin at 11:00 a.m. Register by calling 870-779-3609 or email jcaraway@uada.edu.
