Master Gardener Basic Training Classes Begin Soon

TEXARKANA, Ark. –

Red Dirt Master Gardeners in Miller County is now accepting applications for basic training.  Anyone interested in becoming a Master Gardener may apply to be accepted into the 40-hour Master Gardener training program offered by the University Of Arkansas Division Of Agriculture. This 40 hour program includes training on lawn care; ornamental trees and shrubs; fire ant and other insects; disease and weed management; soils and plant nutrition; vegetable and flower gardening; home fruit production; irrigation and much more!

If you are interested in attending this year’s classes, they will be held October 25^th, 26^th, 27^th, 28^th, November 3^rd, and 4^th, 2015 in Texarkana, AR.  All classes will be held from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM. Cost of the training is $125.
