KEISER, Ark. – The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture will be hosting a second field day with a focus on dicamba at the Northeast Research and Extension Center on Tuesday, Aug. 15.
The field day begins at 9 a.m. There is no cost to attend. NEREC is located at 1241 W. County Road 780 in Keiser in Mississippi County.
“We will again look at the volatility research comparing formulations, physical drift and volatility in large plot research, as well as the potential for dicamba movement on dust.” said Jason Norsworthy, professor and weed scientist for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture.
Norsworthy, and fellow weed scientists Bob Scott and Tom Barber are also on the program.
The first field day, held Aug. 8, attracted more than 150 people.
“We heard from others in the industry who wanted to hear from our researchers and see our plots,” said Mark Cochran, vice president-agriculture for the U of A System. “We want to provide ample opportunity to see and hear what our weed scientists have found in terms of volatility and movement.”
For more information about field day, contact the center at 870-526-2199.
