LITTLE ROCK — The 2017 Arkansas Flower and Garden Show, the state’s largest show dedicated to horticulture, landscaping and a wide variety of gardening aspects, will kick off at 10 a.m. this Friday at the Statehouse Convention Center, located in downtown Little Rock.

This year’s show will feature more than 100 vendors, speakers from around the country, and experts with the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, who will be on hand to answer your questions about plant pathology, honey bees and more.

The show runs Friday through Sunday. Doors open at 10 a.m. each day. Events at the show Friday begin with the Landscape Challenge at 10:30 a.m., pitting brothers Buddy and Chris Olsen against each other in a four-hour challenge to create two unique landscapes against similar backgrounds. Friday’s events will conclude with a live performance by musical act Wildflower Revue, from 5-7 p.m.
