Robinson will assume the duties of the association’s president during its annual conference in December 2018.

Robinson began her career with the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture as an hourly worker in the department of plant pathology, stationed at the Lonoke Extension Center, in 2005.

She moved to the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, continuing to work in plant pathology during and after earning a master’s degree in agricultural economics and agribusiness. She took three years off to earn a Ph.D. and returned to the division in her current position in 2013.

As president-elect, Robinson has begun a three-year term on the board of the Joint Council of Extension Professionals, of which the National Association of Extension Program and Staff Development Professionals is a member organization. Her term on the board will continue through her tenure as president and past president of the association.

Other duties of the president-elect include chairing the association’s Policy and Resolutions Committee, presiding over meetings in the absence of the president and serving as an ex-officio member of the Programs Committee.

When she begins her term as president in December, Robinson will provide leadership to the association, including planning and executing the organization’s annual meeting in 2019.
