Statement on Lewis Fields
Statement from Dr. Jean-Francois Meullenet, director of the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture on Lewis Fields:
“We are pleased to see this proposal come before the Fayetteville City Council on Aug. 7. If approved, this lease would run through June 30, 2019, and enable us to keep working with the City and Fayetteville Public Schools on a positive solution for the future of this property.
This is a good step forward and we appreciate the efforts being made on all sides of this negotiation.”
