FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Expected changes after the 2020 elections, agricultural bankruptcy and the latest on federal crop insurance and farm programs are among the timely topics to be discussed at the seventh annual Mid-South Agricultural and Environmental Law Conference this June.
Expected changes after the 2020 elections, agricultural bankruptcy and the latest on federal crop insurance and farm programs are among the timely topics to be discussed at the seventh annual Mid-South Agricultural and Environmental Law Conference this June.
The conference, hosted by the National Agricultural Law Center, addresses the unique challenges that impact agriculture in the mid-south. Several of the topics to be covered at the 2020 conference, such as crop insurance and bankruptcy, go hand in hand with the difficult year many faced in 2019. Other presentations will focus on possible changes or recurring issues in the agricultural industry.
“The Mid-South conference is among the premiere legal ag law and policy programs offered in the United States. We strive to provide timely and practical information for attorneys, lenders, appraisers and other ag professionals,” said Harrison Pittman, Director of the NALC. “This year, we have a well-respected lineup of speakers from around the country who will speak about potential changes after the 2020 elections, wetland issues and much more.”

The conference will begin June 4 at 6:30 p.m. with a “BBQ & Beer” welcome reception at The Rendezvous, an excellent networking opportunity. The conference speakers will begin the morning of June 5 at 8:30 a.m.
This conference will feature six hours of continuing education credit, including an hour of ethics. Also, those that register by May 18th will receive two “bonus” hours of online continuing education credit.
