Business and Community Eclipse Planning Resources
Check out these essential resources and expert tips to help your business or community plan for an unforgettable celestial experience on April 8, 2024!
Great North American Solar Eclipse: April 8, 2024 Is Less Than 3 Months Away
The eclipse is less than 3 months away, and Arkansas will be an outstanding destination for eclipse watchers.
Arkansas Department of Transportation is predicting that 1.5 million will travel from out-of-state to the path of totality, where the eclipse’s shadow will cross over the state.
This past May, we hosted a series of community workshops through the CREATE BRIDGES program in northcentral and southwest Arkansas counties. More than 155 small business owners, city and county officials, nonprofits, and engaged citizens attendee which included individuals from Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
Attendees heard from the “Eclipse Gurus” from Russellville and members of the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society on how to prepare their communities for influx of visitors.
Get Prepared Now
If your community is in the path of totality and you haven’t started planning, it’s not too late!
CREATE BRIDGES has created a clearing house of trainings, guides, and resources for business owners, landowners, city and government, and educators. The list of resources will be updated periodically leading up to the Eclipse.
