Cooperative Extension Service Employee Protective Association

The Cooperative Extension Service Employees' Protective Association was established to provide immediate cash assistance in the event of the death of any member while employed by the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.

Eligibility and Membership

Membership is open to all appointed Extension employees (salaried employees who receive 50 percent of salary from the Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas). The membership fee is $25 with possible periodic assessments to retain the minimum balance requirement.

To  join, the employee is required to complete the Designated Beneficiary Form and return to Kim Magee along with the $25 membership fee. The employee is not an active member until those tasks have been completed.

Benefits

Death benefit of $2,500 to be paid to the beneficiary of a deceased member immediately upon verification of death.
