Drip Irrigation for Specialty Crop Production

Drip irrigation plays an important role in optimizing water and nutrient management for specialty crop production. On-farm experience in Arkansas and across the Southeast have demonstrated that proper system design and consistent management are key to reliable, long-term performance. Practical guidance on system components, irrigation run-time calculations, fertigation rates, and troubleshooting practices has been developed to support growers in making informed decisions.
The following resources, which include educational videos, calculation guidelines, and seasonal maintenance checklists, were developed to assist growers in designing, managing, and fine-tuning drip irrigation systems for specialty crops.
