2023 is the 23rd year for the Corn and Grain Sorghum Research Verification Program which started in 2000 with the formation of the Arkansas Corn and Grain Sorghum Board. The Board helps fund the program through a corn and grain sorghum checkoff program.
Anyone interested in enrolling in the program should contact their local County Extension Agent.
Heat units or Growing Degree Units (GDUs) help predict the growth of corn. Heat units can be used to help with fertilizer applications, predicting tasseling or maturity.

The Arkansas Corn Standardized County Hybrid Trials is a collaborative effort between growers, County Extension agents, Extension specialists, and industry representatives to increase knowledge on selected hybrids that are being evaluated in the University of Arkansas Corn Hybrid testing program
In the trials, producers followed their normal production practices they use on their farms. The cooperation of all producers mentioned in this publication is appreciated. Producers donate time, equipment and hired labor to make these trials possible.
The Arkansas Corn & Grain Sorghum Research Verification Annual Report is a summary of the CGSRVP for that year, including summaries of each field, tables with all agronomic information, and economic analysis of each field.
This compilation is comprised of economic results fot the Grain Sorghum Research Verification Program, broken down by year dating back to 2000. Each spreadsheet includes economic summaries and yearly averages for both irrigated and non-irrigated fields. Additionally, Table 5 of this compilation shows production system simple averages from 2000-2022.
