Arkansas Soil and Water Conservation Virtual Field Trip (SWCVFT) Series 2
The goal of this series is to continue to integrate the efforts of the Arkansas Discovery Farm and the Arkansas Soil Health Alliance.
This free webinar series will develop and deliver virtual demonstrations about the benefits of conservation research and practices related to soil, water and air intereactions and provide educational experiences to a statewide network of participants.
One-hour virtual field demonstrations will include live question and answer segments featuring selected farms such as the soil health observation farms and existing Discovery Farms. The pilot Discovery Farm Agriculture Educational Center on the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) campus.
Free educational curriculum will be available. The curriculum is designed to provide virtual educational opportunities for high school science classes in a 45-minute to 1-hour time frames that teachers can incorporate into normal school day curriculum emphasizing conservation benefits and careers in conservation and agriculture.
