Speakers:

Dan Quadros is an Assistant Professor, Small Ruminant Specialist in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture. He received his B.S. in agronomy from Southwest Bahia State University, and M.Sc. and PhD degrees in animal science from Sao Paulo State University, Brazil. Later, he completed another master’s degree in sustainability from Penn State University. Additionally, he spent six years as a research scholar and post-doctoral research associate at the University of Florida and Texas A&M AgriLife Research, respectively. Before joining the University of Arkansas, he was a Professor at Bahia State University in Brazil for 15+ years. His work has explored many facets of livestock production, including pastures, nutrition, genetics, health, milk and meat quality. At the University of Arkansas, Dr. Quadros has worked on applied research and education to increase the efficiency and profitability of sheep & goat production, improve milk and meat quality, and expand markets for their products.
