Coleus
November 2014
I saw these bright plants in one of the yards close to where I live. I love the pop
it gives their yard. Can you possibly tell me what it is and the planting time, and
what is the best place to plant it?
The plant in question is a summer annual called a coleus. There are many varieties
with colors in solid red like this one (I am guessing it is Red Head), orange, yellow
and multi-colored. Some varieties will take full shade and some full sun, but none
will take the cold. They are one of the first to go with a light frost.
